Naturally Sweet Products I Love


Being refined sugar free can be really tough.  It's hard to find products that are naturally sweet without chemical sweeteners and sometimes it's just too much to make everything from scratch.  Here are a few of my favourite products to help guide your refined sugar free life.




St. Dalfour Jams

These are naturally sweetened jams, made with 100 percent fruit and using fruit juice concentrates to sweeten instead of refined white sugars.  We love these for the occasional times when you really want jam on toast!  They are available in the jam aisle at all grocery stores.

  



 


Fruit Ripperz
 
These are a special treat for my kids.  They are fruit snacks made from fruit purees and fruit juice concentrates.  They are great for birthday parties or special rewards.  Available from Woolworths and some dollar stores.
 
 
 
 
 




Carob Bears
 
These are to carob what the Swiss are to chocolate.  The Carob Kitchen have made carob amazing by mixing it with milk solids and cocoa butter creating a milk chocolate like carob without any refined sugar or added sweetener.  These are AMAZING.  They come in plain and mint, and you can buy blocks that come in mint, almond and plain.  At Easter, you can buy carob eggs.  My kids' favourite treat!
 
 
 
 
  
  
Chobani Greek Yogurt Pouches -- Honey
 
Yogurt pouches are a favourite among most children, but most yogurts that come in pouches are aimed at kids and full of refined sugar and artificial colours and flavours.  Chobani Greek Yogurt Pouches in honey are sweetened with just honey and are perfect for lunches.  Beware: any other flavour (other than plain) are full of refined sugar.  Available from major grocery stores.
 

 
 
 
 
 All Natural Bakery Oat Slice Bars
 
These oat slice bars are a really tasty treat or muesli bar substitute.  They are filling and are sweetened only with honey and dried fruit. They come in a variety of flavours including: Yogurt Almond & Apricot, Yogurt Peach & Mango, Macadamia & Apricot, Fruit & Nut, and Banana.  I usually have one in my hand bag to get me by when I can't get to real food.  Available at major grocery stores.
 
 
 
 
Sanitarium no added sugar or salt Peanut Butter
 

Most store bought peanut butters are packed full of sugar and oils.  I usually make my own peanut butter, but when I'm pressed for time, I love this peanut butter.  Available at major grocery stores.

 
 
The Bar Counter Raw Food Bars
 
These raw food bars are usually a combination of dates, nuts and cocoa.  There are a few different flavours that are refined sugar free and contain natural ingredients.  Beware when purchasing, there are a lot of varieties, but only a couple contain only natural sweeteners.  Read the ingredients before you buy.  Available at Coles.
